Inkjet printing has garnered much interest as a deposition method for electronic devices. This talk overviews the field of printed electronics and demonstrates a technique known as reactive inkjet printing as an approach to fabricating biocompatible, low cost, and on-demand sensor devices. Progress in reactive inkjet printing of Zinc Oxide and discussion of the opportunities and challenges for this technique as a platform for new classes of electronics will be presented.
